Kehri's Burdens

Hello all! So, I've been busily learning Daz Studio over the holidays, haven't really had much free time for writing but I can work on Daz even with family around (as long as I'm just going through the tutorials, and not actually working on anything worth posting here).

I've completed a short sequence of renders, mostly just playing around with my limited list of props and models. Nothing special, and I'm still learning how to set up lighting, but I thought these were worth showing to you all.

These are very rough, I'm pretty limited in terms of props and models to work with, and I did some of these before I figured out how to set up spotlights.

Also, I've posted the full size, 2K resolution images on the Patreon, along with some extra renders and a bit of backstory to set up the scene.

Please let me know what you think, I'm really looking for feedback. Do you like this sort of thing, want to see more artwork like this, etc?

The Failed Missions of Agent Barbie

Greetings, all! And Happy Humpday (since it's taken me all day to get this posted, and now it's technically Wednesday)!!

Anyway, I've got two captions for you today (and a shorter bonus third caption) to help make up for missing posts the last few weeks.

These come from my chats with Bondage Barbie Doll, using a character named after her, a sort of bumbling secret agent who constantly gets herself into trouble, usually of the bondage predicament variety.

A typical mission-gone-awry:

And a sort-of prequel caption:

And a bonus epilogue caption:

I'm experimenting with new, larger captions. These are all 1200 pixels high, far larger than my usual 820p format. They look a lot better on my new monitor, but I'm not sure how they'll look for you all. Please let me know if you have any trouble reading these (the font size is the same as I always try to use).

Other than that, I hope you enjoy these new captions, and the character.

Occupied

Hello everyone!

Today's caption was originally part of a series I was planning for Halloween, but my computer troubles ultimately killed that idea. This is sort of an abbreviated form of my original idea, which would've involved a series of women losing control of themselves to otherworldly beings on Halloween and having to live with the long-lasting consequences.

Aside from the text being too long to make a proper caption, I am also still figuring my way around Paint 3D. I should probably just redownload GIMP and be done with it, but haven't gotten around to it just yet. Until I do, I might be posting just text versions of captions, so FYI.

Also doesn't help that I'm on a new keyboard, and it's driving me nuts that half the buttons are either too small or not in the same place as I'm used to.

Back at last

Hello all, I'm finally back. Sorry about missing the last two weeks of posts. I've got my new computer up and running now, and have been busy transferring files from my old hard drive. Of course, all of my thousands of pictures for future captions are still stuck on the thing, so that's proven an issue.

And I'm busy trying to figure out how Windows 10 works. It's a bit weirdly laid out, and I'm missing Windows 7 something awful. For some reason, Microsoft thought it was clever to falsely date all of their shortcuts as originating in the year 2082, forcing them to the top anytime I try to organize my files by date. It's enough to make me delete half of them outright.

Not to mention that my new 2K monitor is making all of my old captions look tiny and fuzzy. I might need to start making captions larger than 820p.

And the new MSPaint keeps adding spaces between lines when I try to add a caption, for some infernal reason. And it doesn't have any of my old fonts, so now I need to hunt those all down again.

It's been a real headache of a week.

On the plus side, with this new computer I finally have a decent graphics card, so now I can actually start trying out some of the ideas I've had on hold the last few years. Mainly, I want to start making 3-D renders, either for captioning or even as illustrations for some of my old stories. This is sort of a next-year plan, as it'll be months before I know what I'm doing, but once I've worked things out, I'd like to start making illustrated versions of some of my old ebooks, for the Patreon page.

Aside from all that, I've not really been able to finish any captions, sadly. I have been writing, off and on, but nothing I've written has really clicked for me. I started another little fantasy tale, inspired by my ridiculously over-modded Skyrim character, but really didn't know how to finish it. The basic idea is fun, but I think not really enough to carry a story. I might post it anyway, I haven't decided yet.

Anyway, here's my most complete attempted caption from a few days before my pc exploded, and at least partly inspired by my search for an overpriced graphics card for the new computer:
