Glad everyone seems to have enjoyed the last caption. Today I'm posting the second part of that one. I had meant to post it yesterday, but I ended up rewriting the whole caption after a better idea came to me. Anyway, I've got plenty of other ideas for future dare-caps in this vein, though probably with other characters.
Please enjoy, and let me know what you all think.

Really loved this one. Part 1 was cute and fun, but then Part 2 was a great sudden "go for the kill" plot revelation. I was figuring that the foreshadowing hinted at something extra-humiliating she'd have to do in order to get back out of the courthouse in time, since the bet specified "without getting caught" and she technically hadn't left the building yet.
ReplyDeleteThis series has a really clever device for getting participants to do the stranger and more extreme situations/images. It's sort of like blackmail, but stronger, because ultimately the participants are indeed getting what they want in exchange and this builds on itself into a classic "don't want to lose my investment" mentality. Another excellent setup idea B-Rex!
Oh I'd love to see Chad's dare after that setup.
ReplyDeleteHeh heh, it starts with a judge being obliged to appear in court with humiliatingly large breast implants, and it gets better from there.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Meisa, the "dare club" format is an excellent one for getting people to trap themselves in horrible situations.
I am reminded of a Swamp Thing story in which a club met every year on Good Friday for a feast at which every member was challenged to provide a dish none of them had tried before and which all of them were required to eat, no matter how disgusting they might find it.
